About Gail Ghai
Gail Ghai is a published poet, workshop leader, teacher and
author of three chapbooks of poetry.  She serves as Poet in
Residence for the Peace River Writers in Punta Gorda, Florida
and serves on the Associate Board of the International Poetry
Forum in Pittsburgh, PA.  

Her awards include a Pushcart Prize nomination, a Henry C.
Frick scholarship for creative teaching, a finalist in 20th
Anniversary Comstock Review (Winter 2006),  and a 2006
Benjamin Franklin Award nomination for the anthology, What
the Sea Keeps: poems of the Tsunami which contains her
poem, “Saving Faith”.  

Her work has appeared in Descant, Florida English, JAMA,
Kaliope, Poet Works and Shenadoah.  She has done poetry
and art collaborations including, Earth’s Bounties: Paintings,
Drawings and Prints with Pittsburgh artist, Robert Qualters
based on the imagery in her poetry.
